Altair successfully sources rural site sale for bespoke retirement developer in Kirk Hammerton

Working with SageHaus Living, Altair has successfully sourced and agreed a subject to planning sale of a site set within the rural landscape of Kirk Hammerton, to provide 60 high specification Net Carbon Zero bungalows.

About the project

After extensive research and various negotiations between potential land owners and the client, Altair were able to ensure a desired site was acquired. Altair successfully sourced a site that was in line with SageHaus’s strategy and ethos of developing retirement homes set in a ‘peaceful rural setting with well-connected amenities and transport links’.

Following discussions with various owners and after overcoming a number of challenges, Altair successfully sourced a plot of land within the desired location of Yorkshire to allow SageHaus to develop their next scheme.

This was the first off-site purchase for SageHaus and is therefore a landmark acquisition for their development portfolio. This sale also demonstrates Altair’s ability to accommodate the specific requirements of bespoke housing developers within the UK to identify and broker new opportunities between purchasers and vendors.

Altair secured a subject to planning sale of the site in Kirk Hammerton to SageHaus. The sale of this site will enable SageHaus to develop a unique collection of two bedroom single level retirement homes in a rural but extremely well connected location in the heart of Yorkshire. Set in between York and Harrogate, this scheme will be ideal for a buyer looking to enjoy all that rural living in Yorkshire can provide.

Altair successfully helped us identify a development opportunity that matched our strategy and assisted not only with the site identification but also with the negotiations and due diligence as part of their services
