Implementing a digital record & golden thread to build a safer future

Working with Peabody, part of the Early Adopters Group, to support their response to the Hackitt Review recommendations.

About the project

The project initially commenced with the production of a digital record of building information. Altair produced a strategy for capturing and storing relevant building safety data and records in preparation for the impending building safety case requirement. Altair deployed a team to implement this strategy, collating this information centrally and working with the client’s chosen asset data holding system to format this data for upload. This project led to further commission in programme management of re-cladding schemes which included working up a number of re-cladding projects to contract and providing advice on the approach to the governance, prioritisation and delivery of the remediation programme in line with changing legislation and guidance.

Altair were able to provide Peabody with a Digital Record of building information for over 500 of their high-rise residential blocks, ready for upload into the client’s chosen asset data storing system. Altair helped Peabody work up eight of their cladding remediation programmes to contract.

Altair have supported us through this extensive and important project and continue to work with us in tackling these building safety challenges. Being part of the Early Adopters Group and in conversation with Government on Hackitt means we can help to shape future developments and ensure safety is central to process going forward. The team at Altair are passionate about making this happen.
